Its major business includes:

l        Advanced pharmaceutical intermediates: mainly intermediates of polypeptide drugs, such as amino acid protective agents, polypeptide condensing agent, and derivatives of amino acid. The reaction between amino- group and carboxyl of amino acids forms amide bonds and polypeptide chains of various lengths. The products can be used in the synthesis of polypeptide drugs for anti-cancer or anti-AIDS purposes, and the introduction of amino acid groups into non-polypeptide drugs for the purpose of enhancing drug activity.

l        Contract/Custom manufacture: it has become a core business of Tianma after more than 10 years’ growth. Now the company partners with leading pharmaceutical and chemical companies, and custom manufactures advanced intermediates for producers of patented and generic drugs.  

Tianma is good at various reactions including hydrogenation and dehydrogenation, acetylation, condensation, Friedel-Crafts reaction, and nitration, among others.  

l        Bulk drugs: macrolide antibiotics, antipyretic-analgesic drugs, gastriculcer drugs, and drugs that treat coma or Alzhermer’s disease.

l      Specialty chemicals: paper chemicals and specialty chemicals.
